State Representative Julie Rogers
House Health Policy Chair + Physical Therapist

Meet House Health Policy Chairwomen Julie Rogers representing Kalamazoo, Portage, and Comstock. She's got the muscles to prove it as a real-life physical therapist while serving her second term in the Michigan House of Representatives. Chairwomen Rogers welcomed and inspired Michigan PAs at MAPA’s 2023 Capitol Summit in Lansing.

With 23 years in the PT game, Julie's seen it all. She’s like a guardian angel for public health, even serving on the National Association of Counties Health Steering Committee for seven years. But let's get real – it's not all hospital gowns and band-aids. After witnessing the havoc wreaked by car accidents, she went into action mode, fighting for auto no-fault reform. And she didn't just dabble in politics – she dove headfirst.

Michigan PAs hit the jackpot with a Health Policy Chairwoman who's not just all talk, she's got a white coat! When she talks about patient care, you better listen because she's like the Yoda of healthcare - only taller and with better hair.

She's practically one of us, having scrubbed in with PAs in Kalamazoo hospitals and even rubbing elbows with the PA medicine leaders at Western Michigan University within her first few months on the job. Yep, she's not just pushing papers; she's pushing for us! πŸ’‰πŸ©ΊπŸ“‹

But hold up, she's not just about suits and ties. Julie's a volunteer ninja, from Girls on the Run to Highway cleanup. Plus, she's a triathlon tamer alongside her hubby, Dr. Ed Orloff, DPT.

So yeah, she's not just a rep, she's a force of nature – keeping Health Policy in check and bringing the PT power to public service!  πŸŽ‰πŸƒ‍β™€οΈπŸŠ‍β™€οΈπŸš΄‍♀️
