MAPA Provides Education & Training Matrix

The Senate Health Policy Committee received testimony on Wednesday, March 21st for Senate Bill 279 to allow for NPs to practice independently. MAPA has taken a neutral position on SB 279. The bill was not taken up for a vote.

Former MAPA Presidents Ron Stavale, PA-C and Dr. Michelle Petropoulos, DMSc, PA-C provided their personal perspectives to the Senate Committee having practiced medicine for decades. Their testimony referenced MAPA’s provider education and training matrix.
